From Highway 278, take Interstate 95 and the airport exit is right off of the interstate. Another major airport is the Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International airport. It’s about a 4 hour drive from Hilton Head. Considered “the world’s busiest passenger airport,” this international airport is 10 miles from downtown Atlanta and has 32 major airlines. With tons of shopping and dining to make your transit more comfortable, the Hartsfield-Jackson airport has everything you need right onsite. Shuttle buses, taxis and rental cars are available.

Getting Around Hilton Head Island

Highway 278 is the road that takes you from Interstate 95, over the bridge onto Hilton Head Island and almost all the way to the end of the Island.
